The TEVA in collaboration with the Texas A&M Continuing Education office will offer interactive online continuing education starting in 2018. Dr. Michelle Coleman will moderate the first case in the fall. The organization will be as follows:

1.       Signalment, presenting complaint, basic history and physical examination will be published in TEVA’s Remuda and in the website of the Texas A&M Continuing Education office.

2.       A link for an online forum is provided below. After registering, the course will prompt you to download free software called canvas. Once everybody is registered, you should receive email updates for when specific discussions start.

3.       The moderator will post questions and participants will be able to post answers, more questions, suggestions, experiences or comments.

4.       After a period of discussion, an online live interactive session will be organized. Participants will need a computer, phone or tablet with internet access a microphone and camera to participate.

5.       The summary of case and discussions will be posted in the following TEVA Remuda issue and in the Texas A&M Continuing Education office website along with a new case presentation.

This is the first case we will discuss. The goal of this case is to discuss diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of horses with endocrine disease. 18 year old Warmblood gelding used for eventing. The gelding has been performing ok at lower levels, however, developed anhydrosis this past summer. Historically, the gelding has been treated for sinusitis 3 times over the past 6 months and was reported to shed his winter coat slower than his stablemates this spring.
